Seasons

There was a king named Solomon, the wisest of all
“Meaningless! Meaningless!” was his ecclesiastical call
If you keep on reading his book you may see some unusual banter
For it’s not until the end where he states the conclusion of the matter
Fear God and keep His commands is the duty of man
But who can do that? Surely not anyone can?

For none are perfect, not even one
Except He who is God’s only Son
Jesus the Christ who is a stranger to sin
Became sin for us so we could live again
And through His sacrifice came grace and forgiveness
And with His forgiveness we can experience true repentance

So no matter what season of life you go through
There is a Savior that gave His life up for you
A season of joy or a season of pain
Christ is constant and will always remain
He always was and always will be
So why is that so hard for us to see?

There is a time for everything under the sun
A season as well for all to be done
“What season am I in?” is the question always asked
Are you in Fall or Summer which have their own tasks
Maybe you’re in Spring which bears new life
Or maybe Winter which can often bring strife

Regardless the season for which you are in
There is always a constant if you follow Him
You can choose to follow the meaningless ways of the world
Which may start off fun but always end in turmoil
Or in your seasons of life you can choose to follow Him
The one and only Jesus Christ who died and rose again

The road isn’t easy for it can often be rough
And sometimes you may be tempted to say “I’ve had enough!”
But God is faithful even in our times of weakness
And if we stray from the path He always offers forgiveness
In every season of life, to remain in Him is worth it
Because in Him you will find that your season has a purpose

So we go through life transitioning through the seasons
Holding on and trusting Him that there is a reason
For the season you’re in, how will you go on?
Will you choose meaningless ways of man or bask in the Son?
For in each season of life we can learn to rely on Him
And only with Him can we fulfill the duty of man
